State Officers Attend SOAR Weekend
HELEN, GA - On August 7-9, the state officers attended the SOAR weekend.
SOAR stands for State Officers Accepting Responsibility. During the weekend
the state officers discussed what they will be doing for the next six months.
In addition, they learned how to write a speech directed by the Executive officer
of Georgia DeMolay, Dad Marc Bohn.
They were instructed on state officer decorum as well, directed by
Dad Skip Mason and Dad Rusty Newport. State Master Councilor Mike Benedetti
planned the weekend. The weekend wasn't just about work and business though.
The state officers also enjoyed a comfortable cabin with a hot tub and a
creek. On Sunday, the state officers went tubing down the Chathoochee River.
