DeMolays Perform Degree for 200 Masons at Rock Quarry
MORGANTON, GA - The DeMolay Degree Team received a standing ovation for their
performance of the DeMolay Degree at the Rock Quarry on August 27. It was the third
year the DeMolays had been invited to perform the degree on the top of a mountain in North
Georgia. Over 200 Masons from all over Georgia were on hand to view the degree and they
liked what they saw.
Grand Master Al Garner said the future of Masonry was in the hands of the young men of DeMolay.
He said he was very proud of the performers and noted that his Grandson’s DeMolay experience
meant a lot to him.
Executive Officer Marc Bohn complimented the young performers on their work and praised
the Masons for the recent increase in Masonic support noting that over 20 men had come
forward to become advisors in the first six months of this year.
The performers were all "stars" and did a great job of exemplifying the degree to the three
candidates and new members of the order. The organizers of the event approached Dad Griggers
after the degree and told him that the DeMolays were invited back next year to perform again!
