Eells Named DeMolay of the Year
JEKYLL ISLAND, GA - Christopher G. Eells of Mountain Park Chapter was named DeMolay of the Year on
July 16. The DeMolay of the Year award is also known as the DeMolay International Distinguished Service Award
given to a single deserving member in the jurisdiction on an annual basis. Chris has been active in
DeMolay since he was initiated in July of 1998. He was introduced to DeMolay by his older brother
Bob Eells and quickly rose through the ranks of Mountain Park Chapter, being installed as Master Councilor
in January of 2001. He then moved on to the State Officer Corps, and was elected State Master Councilor in
July of 2003. Chris, showing outstanding devotion to DeMolay, continued to greater service, running
for the office of 38th International Master Councilor. He won the support of the Congress delegates and was
installed as International Master Councilor in June of 2004. He is the first DeMolay from Georgia to serve
in the highest office a DeMolay can hold. Chris now serves Georgia DeMolay in the capacity of State Scribe.
