Moody Installed as Georgia State Master Councilor
STATESBORO, GA - At the annual Conclave of the Associated DeMolay Chapters of Georgia, held the
weekend of July 15-18 on the campus of Georgia Southern University, Julius K. Moody, III was installed
as the Georgia State Master Councilor. He will lead the state association, made up of twelve chapters
and over 250 active members, for the next twelve months.
Several honor were also bestowed upon deserving individuals. Dad Russ Nobles (Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter)
received the Legion of Honor. Dad Bill Lyons (Middle Georgia Chapter) and Dad Horace Daniel (Middle Georgia
Chapter) received the Honorary Legion of Honor. Chevalier recipients included Alex Williams (Clayton Chapter)
and Michael Clough (Middle Georgia Chapter). Two advisors received the Cross of Honor; they are Dad Jon Challen
(State Staff) and Dad Tom Tinley (Augusta Chapter).
Finally, the most outstanding DeMolay member and Chapter were named. The DeMolay of the Year is Adam Fowler
(Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter). The Chapter of the Year (in all areas and overall) is Samuel S. Lawrence
Chapter.
Julius receives the collar of his office
from all previous Georgia State Master Councilors.
