Georgia DeMolay Presents DeMolay Degree for 600 Masons
MORGANTON, GA -
Fourteen DeMolays and four Advisors trekked from all over Georgia and went
up in the hills of North Georgia as the special guests of the Lodges that
sponsor the largest outdoor Masonic event in the state, the annual Rock
Quarry meeting near Morganton. The guys dramatized the DeMolay degree in
front of approximately 600 Masons from all over Georgia and received a
standing ovation. It was the 50th Anniversary of the meeting and the
first time DeMolays had ever been invited to put on their degree at the
prestigeous event.
"These young men did an outstanding job!" observed Grand Master Bobby
Simmons as he made a special effort to shake each one's hand and
congratulate them personally.
State Chapter Dad Larry Griggers introduced
the players after the degree and said to the applauding Masons, "I hope you
are fortunate enough to some day have your son, grandson or nephew up here
and feel the pride I feel for these young men."
"The best DeMolay degree I have ever seen!" remarked Dad Greg Eells, Chapter
Dad of Mountain Park Chapter, "They were remarkable!"

Cast for the degree shown above, first row, left to right, were: Eric
Scheel, Robert Warr, Brandon Childress, Alex Jinks, and Cole Sleister.
Second Row: Geoff Bard, Jackie Moody, Chris Eells, Richie Eells, and Michael
Griggers. Third Row: Josh Strange, Zaman Jiwani, Donnie Robertson and Tyler Coon.
