Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter Hosts State Rafting Trip
OCOEE RIVER, TN - Members, advisors, and parent's club members from
five Chapters attended a Whitewater raft trip on the Ocoee River sponsored
by Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter. The Group took the five mile excursion on
June 28-29. The trip included a total of 27 sets of rapids ranging from
class 2 to class 4 rapids. After the trip the group was treated to a meal
of hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, chocolate chip cookies,
brownies, and lemonade prepared by Dad Michael Riley of Middle Georgia
Chapter and Mom Janet Stout from Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter. A large portion
of the group remained at the base camp and enjoyed the camaraderie of camping
for the night.
