Paul Hunt - June 2007

Paul Hunt, a member of Mountain Park Chapter in Stone Mountain, was selected as the Georgia DeMolay Online "DeMolay of the Month" for June 2007. He is currently the Master Councilor of his chapter. We sat down with Paul to learn a little more about him....

GDO: Paul, congratulations on your selection as GDO's May DeMolay of the Month. We want our web site visitors to learn a little more about you and your DeMolay career. How did you find out about and get involved with DeMolay?

Paul: I was in the Parkview Band with Richie and Ryan, and I got to know Todd Stovall and "Z." They told me about DeMolay, and I figured it's a good way to get out of the house and hang with friends. I joined at Beach Weekend in 2004 after an amazing Parkview football game.

GDO: What do you like best about DeMolay?

Paul: In one word: "brotherhood." It really means a lot to me that I can make friends with anyone in DeMolay, and we will stick up for each other and have the same set of core values. A lot of my closest friends are in DeMolay.

GDO: You are just finishing your term as Mountain Park Master Councilor, what is your favorite memory of your term?

Paul always finds a way to get a laugh!
Paul: The amazing score that Mountain Park earned to receive first place Chapter Proficiency at the Tournament of Champions. My Chapter is simply the best.

GDO: What are your goals for your future in DeMolay?

Paul: Well, right now I am Squire Commander for Knighthood. Once that's over, I'm going for IKC during the Richie/Todd Term, and during Todd's term I would like to serve the state in the capacity of an appointed State Officer.

GDO: Outside of DeMolay, what are some of your other interests and activities?

Paul: I love music, and anything that has to do with music. I would love to get a band started, and of course one of my biggest interests is my girlfriend.
